Miami, FL – March 11, 2020 – Ambar3, part of The Vestcor Companies, is proud to announce the grand opening of Ambar Key, a 249-unit workforce housing community in Florida City. The ribbon cutting ceremony will be held on Tuesday, March 31st.
Ambar3 purchased Floridian Key (aka Coral Key Homes), a 77-unit broken condominium community in 2018 with plans to renovate the existing units and build an additional 172 units. Unit renovations included new A/C units, water heaters, countertops, cabinet faces and paint. Exterior improvements included repainting the entire community, new light fixtures, structural improvements, new landscaping and the addition of common area amenities.
The community is comprised of 45 buildings with 4 or 6 units per building. The spacious two and three-bedroom floorplans have LVT throughout, fully equipped kitchens, energy efficient appliances and washer/dryer rentals available. In addition to the 32 new buildings developed by Ambar3, a community center, large swimming pool, fitness center, children’s playground and dog park were completed this winter.
“We are proud to provide much needed workforce housing to this community,” said Ambar3 President Elena Adames. “The residents have been thrilled with the improvements made to their homes and we are hopeful to provide more quality affordable and workforce housing to the Miami area in the near future.”
Ambar Key is a workforce housing community with 113 units reserved for individuals making less than 60% of the area median income and 136 units reserved for individuals making less than 80% of the area median income.
A combination of funding from Florida Housing Finance Corporation made this community possible. Summit Contracting Group is the contractor and LanMar Design Group is the architect. For more information on Ambar Key, visit www.AmbarKey.com.
