Jacksonville, FL – September 15, 2021 – The Vestcor Companies is proud to announce the grand opening of Sydney Trace, a 192-unit affordable housing community in the Oakleaf area of Jacksonville.
Sydney Trace is an affordable family community with units reserved for individuals making less than 60% of the area median income. This garden-style family community consists of 8 buildings comprised of one, two- and three-bedroom units, as well as a clubhouse, swimming pool, fitness center, playground and dog park.
Vestcor employees, business partners and local government officials were present to celebrate the ribbon cutting of this brand-new community. Vestcor President Steve Moore spoke of how affordable housing is more important than ever and thanked everyone in the room for their contribution to this beautiful new community that has been 100% occupied since opening.
A combination of funding through Jacksonville Housing Finance Authority, City of Jacksonville Neighborhoods Division and Florida Housing Finance Corporation made this community possible.
