Key West, FL – December 4, 2019 – The Vestcor Companies is proud to announce the grand opening of The Quarry, a 208-unit community in Big Coppit Key.
The Quarry has opened its doors to residents of Buildings 1 and 2 and expect the remaining seven buildings to open between mid-December and the end of February. The community offers a community center, large swimming pool with sundeck, fitness center, dog park, outdoor pavilion and common area Wi-Fi. The two-story buildings provide residents with stunning views overlooking an old quarry site on The Gulf of Mexico.
The ribbon cutting was held on Tuesday, December 3rd. Vestcor’s business partners, the Toppino Family and several government officials were present. “Everyone at Vestcor is thrilled to celebrate the opening of our first community in Key West,” said Vestcor President Steve Moore. “This community would not have been possible without the tireless work of The Toppino Family and the joint effort between the city of Key West and Monroe County.”
Florida House Representative Holly Raschein spoke of providing many Key West residents a place to call home this holiday season.
This community was financed using low income housing tax credits allocated by Florida Housing Finance Corporation, as well as State Apartment Incentive Loan from FHFC.
